Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
This policy explains how Venna (Venna Platform AB, org. no. 559586-9073, Rosendalsvägen 27, Uppsala, Sweden, “we”, “us”) handles your personal data when you join the Venna waitlist. We are the data controller for this processing under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we store:
- Your email address
- Whether you signed up as a user or an event organizer
- A record of your consent: the exact consent text you agreed to and the time you agreed
That is all. We do not collect your name, IP address, or device information, and this website does not use cookies, analytics, or any third-party trackers.
Why we collect it and on what legal basis
We use your email address for one purpose: to contact you about Venna's launch and early access. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by ticking the checkbox when signing up. We will not use your email for anything else, and we will never sell or share it for marketing.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored with Supabase in a database hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany, AWS region eu-central-1). It does not leave the EU.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until Venna has launched and we have contacted you, or until you withdraw your consent — whichever comes first. After that it is deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Request access to the data we hold about you
- Have your data corrected or deleted
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Sweden, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY)
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@joinvenna.com and we will respond within 30 days. Withdrawing consent simply means we delete your email from the waitlist.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we process your data, we will update this page and, where the change is significant, notify you by email before it takes effect.
